Default Castor problems in an 06 CRV

Hi guys,

Could use some help. Is castor adjustable via some method on the second gen CRV's? My rig is getting an alignment right now and the shop says it's calling for 3 degrees of castor but can't be adjusted. I really would like to avoid steering issues and vibration problems, especially since I have a big drive coming up.

I found this, but it doesn't seem to be enough
Whiteline KCA424 Control arm - lower inner front bushing (caster correction)

Thanks!

2006 manual says
front caster is 2 deg 10 min +/- 1 deg

What was the actual measurement?

Just to update, the shop was adjusting castor for the wrong model year. In case you're wondering what an 06 CRV aligned to an 09 CR-V spec feels like to drive, it's terrible. It literally will throw a can out of the cup holder, it shudders and vibrates so bad.

I ended up having to get the rig shipped - CV axles and motor mounts ripped to ****.

Did the shop end up paying for all that **** since it seemed like someone mistaked the 9 for a 6?

No, the motor mounts and CV axles were probably very worn to begin with (~170K rough service miles), so they were already probably nearly junk. I moved a thousand miles away and settled for just leaving them a pretty comprehensive bad review. The owner called me to interrogate me about the review and he considered refunding the $80 they charged for the alignment, but the charge was never reversed. It is difficult to find good shops in the NYC/NNJ area.

I ended up lucking out with the transport and filled an open position on an enclosed carrier for open transport prices. My beloved beater was in there with two high end classics and a ferrari. It felt almost silly.

Yeah that's me - it's not a very comprehensive set of videos so far, but I hope it helps. I had a garage to work in up in NYC, we're renting in a condo complex (hoa rules, barf) in prep to buy in our new city, so hopefully I'll have a workspace again soon.
