1990 electrical issues

Default 1990 electrical issues

Hey people I have my 1990 Honda std I've replaced the dash harness and the engine harness and my batter still dies after sitting for about 2-3 days. Well I borrowed a snap on voltage meter my battery has 12.6 volts. what should be on while the car is off ?

A parasitic drain test with a 12V test light, [NOT LED type], disconnect the batt. neg. cable, connect test light ground clip to the batt. post, then connect test light probe to cable clamp, [series connection] if the test light lights up, you have a parasitic draw, start pulling fuses one by one until test light goes out, when it does you have found the circuit that is drawing power, find the loads on that circuit and disconnect them one by one until test light goes out again.

Replace defective part, your done. 94
