i have honda civic 1999 ex 4 doors and with d16y8 engine.


i have question for the experts of this forum:


i bought a ecu scanner (vgate) vs-890, , and adpter from 3 pin to obd, but for some reason i cant communicate with the ecu.


i have 3 pin connector (the blue one) that come from the ecu.


the scanner looking for protocol to communicate with the ecu but cant find one and at least its give error massage that the scanner cant communicate with the ecu.


i have been tasted the scanner on kia picanto 2014 and its find protocol and the scanner communicate with the ecu of that car.

Is there not an obdII access port under the steering column?

edit: **** it I went and looked through my bookmarks. A member here recommended getting the actual HDS HIM system, or clones of it.
