1999 Accord No Crank, No Start Need Help!
I have a MT 1999 Accord Coupe with 203k miles. Two days ago I got in my car to go to work and tried to start it. Got all the lights on the dash like normal but when I took it to start nothing happened. My first thought was the battery obviously, but it was still a little dark out so I thought I'd check by running the headlights. Headlights were bright and I also checked the dome light. So I really don't think it's a battery problem. After all that I had a buddy come over and we removed the starter and took it to an auto parts store. They tested it and said it was bad so I got a new one and put it in, but I still get the same indications. Not really sure what's wrong here. Thanks for any help/advice you can give me.
What does it do when you try to start it? Does the starter even turn over or click? If not, check the battery and also check for voltage at the main relay and starter.
Can you hear the fuel pump prime for 2-3 seconds when you turn the key on? If not you will be looking at testing the main relay and ignition system. There are how to videos on youtube and web articles available on how to do this. That or you could buy yourself a shop manual for the car.
Instead of randomly replacing parts it would be cheaper to test each component in the ignition system.

Sorry to bug..but I too am having similar issues. 99 accord 2.3 4 cylinder/automatic. No sounds at all when I turn the key..no key light..no fuel pump..no crank..and the check engine light isn't fully illuminated. I've not found a similar issue in the 3 days of looking, and I'm not real sure where the main relay is. Kinda hoping someone may have had experience with a similar issue, that may be willing to shed some light on my dark times.
Thanks in advance
P.s. I just did the head gasket. It cranked over fine 1 time..and now nothing. I'm familiar with building/repairing cars and trucks, just not sure how/where to test.
Thanks in advance

• Battery
• Positive and negative grounds and wire connections, ensure they are really clean and tight. Something may have come loose or wasn't fully tightened after the head gasket job.
As far as the main relay goes. It is located under the driver side dash beside the steering column.
Check out Scotty Kilmer's YouTube videos "Fixing a Honda that died on the road" and "Fixing a car that cranks but doesn't start up" He has been working on cars for over 40 years and his videos are very good as a general starting place. Ericthrcarguy and NutzAboutBolts also have very good, very specific videos on hondas.
