Hey guys, some background first: I'm trying to get my wife her first car which was a 1993 Samba Green Honda Del Sol manual - I'm here gathering information before I make any major purchases. The car I'd like to get her MUST be Samba green - did they only make these cars this color from '93 - '95? I think I remember reading that but can't find that information again. It also must be manual. Here's where I make it real hard on myself. I need a samba green del sol manual that has a B engine which will make my B18C1 swap much easier. Did they only make the B series engine in the 1995 del sol? I wouldn't swap immediately - I wouldn't mind buying a high mileage del sol and then swapping to a B18C1 in a few years. Sorry for so many questions! Just trying to figure out where to start! Thanks!

 

Samba green is '93-'94 Si ONLY.

B16 engine came in VTEC trim starting in '94 so that's what you're looking for.

This local (to me) ad states VTEC, it either has a swap already or has a VTEC D series in it. Maybe you'd be interested.

Thanks for the link! Seems I will have to get a D Series and change out a few more things long term for my swap. Since any stock Samba green will have a D-series, does trim even matter if I plan to swap the engine out? VTEC any easier than S?

 

'94 will have B16...

I think my use of trim may be confusing you. I think all '94 Samba Greens will be Si, which means it should have a B16 VTEC if I'm interpreting the charts correctly.
