Hey all my name is Eric. I have recently become a new owner of a 98 Honda civic LX EJ6. It was a gift for my birthday/easter this year from my stepson. As I am new to Honda I will be looking for a lot of help with my planned build. When given the vehicle the D16y7 motor has been replaced by a 00 EX d16y8 SOHC vtec motor and manual trans. Planning to do a complete overhaul on the motor adding a turbo kit. Well more to come looking forward to the making new friends and having fun with this build.

 

Welcome! And Sweet,boosted single cams can be pretty fun.The D16y8 is one of the better D series motors too..I have a b16 myself and am not exactly a pro on the D series but I'm sure any questions you may have will be answered here.

 

Hey and thanks for the reply and vote of confidence. I will be looking forward to all input from everyone. The car is extremely fun now but will be looking forward to the upgrades. I have a donor motor as well so I will be building that block and keeping the car driving on the road keeping me working and making the money to build the new project car. will be posting pics soon. and i know I do have a long road ahead.
