First Gen CRV suspension adjustments
I bought a 5 speed crv awhile back. Went threw a set of tires before I could afford some new ones.
It kept eating the right front tire.
I knew the tie rod ends were bad on it so I changed them and noticed the caster was out. Didnt look too hard before but the tire is sitting noticeably father back in the wheel well than the drivers side.
I noticed that it had a junk yard control arm on the bottom.
Figured it was wrecked but didnt see any crunch in the front. The fender is a little off as well but not horribly. I have worked at a body shop for a few years, so I know it wasnt a horrid wreck. The hood wasnt replaced and sits nice.
I got the tie rod ends on and when I got the tires replaced I bought a lifetime alignment and took it to get adjusted.
There is no camber or caster from the factory.
I just put 600 worth of tires on it and was wondering what I could do as far as caster and some camber for the front before I go threw another set.
Would the generic caster bolts work? It doesnt have to be 100% perfect but enough to not eat the tires. The camber is a little easier. It is close enough that I can get the ball joint or an upper arm and get it right.
I am worried about the caster. It rubs the fender and body at full lock and when turning in reverse.
I need to get it up and give the cradle a close look to see if it shifted any.
Has anyone had any luck with some adjustments on it? Or had any problems?
Any input is good as long as you dont give me the typical "sell it" or "its ruined" answer. Thanks guys.

well you have 2 option.. take the car to a frame rack and see if everything is squared, or.. just buy a whole entire steering rack along with the lower control arms .. if an alignment shop cant get it straightened
Changing the rack and control arm won't help if anything has shifted. The control arm has already been replaced from how it looks. Junk yard markings.
