Default difficulty level for 5speed rebuild

I found a new leak in my transmission and it looked at first like a simple task of removing an access cover and replacing the gasket. Upon further inspection, this time paying attention to what I'm looking at, I figured out that it isn't an access cover, it's the only way to open the transmission. It bisects the transmission and the gasket is only available with a rebuild kit. I was planning on eventually rebuilding the transmission, but not for a while and not so much to fix anything as to learn how it works. It's really only sweating around the gasket so for now I'm just keeping an eye on oil levels. A high difficulty level won't stop me from rebuilding it but I like to know what to expect.

If this is for a manual transmission there is no gasket, only Hondabond/liquid gasket.

That's good to know, though there is a gasket that comes with the rebuild kit. Good to know liquid gasket works since that was my emergency backup anyway.

Trying to monitor my 94lx accords manual 5spd transmission fluid levels because of a leak. I can't figure out which bolts are for drain and fill. I've read many descriptions of which they are but they aren't very helpful. Does anyone have a picture pointing out where they are?

Don't use the paper gasket, it's not meant to be there and it will screw up bearing clearances and preload.

The drain bolt is the bolt at the lowest point, it will normally have a 3/8 square hole in it for a ratchet. The fill plug goes just behind the passenger's side axle and it's directly in line with the axle.
