Dude at the end of the video he was at 280.... if that is in kph, i did the conversion and it comes out to be 186mph. I dont think that an S2K could even get close to that in stock form.
Now tell us all if you do know... what was done to this car???

300 kph is just over 180. Check your math. It's still not stock
Fast as ****, is still fast as ****!

You have no clue. A stock S2000 will only do something like 152 or 153 MPH. Top speed is a function of horsepower and drag coefficient. It can be mathematically calculated. It takes a HELL of alot more than a chip to get to 168 or 170 or 180 mph than ti does to 153. A chip / cam is not going to do it.
"well yea, your right, i didnt say i knew exactly what the S2k's stock top speed is... i havent found a piece of open road long enough yet.... and horse power is more than just top speed, it is the amount of power that an engine can produce against the weight of the car.... so actually, YOU have no clue
"
Uh no dumbass "the amount of power that an engine can produce against hte weight of the car" is a meaningless non-technical statement from an ignorant person. Horsepower is a measure of the amount of power that an engine can produce idiot, that's why it's called horsePOWER. "against the weight of the car" <- this is a idiots way of stating something else and nobody knows what your'e talking about. Weight has 0 effect on top speed, weight effects acceleration not top speed. Top speed is effected by drag.

My car stock ran 158 mph.....
The rpm was somewhere around 8400...........
It just didnt have enough HP to go any faster........
Oh did I mention it took me like close to 4 miles to reach that speed....(scary
)

"Horsepower is a measure of the amount of power that an engine can produce idiot"
wow your sharp... a five year can tell me that.... im talking about how horsepower is measured
horse power is more than just top speed, it is the amount of power that an engine can produce against the weight, or drag of a car.... and yes it is mathematically calculated... one horse power = 33,000 horse foot-pounds in one minute... the horsepower is calculated by how well the engine can produce power against resistance, which is why dynometers give resistance to the tires (or how many horses can pull the weight of something along with how far, in one minute)...... so stfu

God damn you're stupid. It's not more or less than top speed, it's something totally different. "horse foot-pounds" is another meaningless ******* term you just made up. Your IQ must be lower than porch furniture. "Against the wieght of a car" is another retarded phrase. Horsepower has nothing to do with weight you idiot. A 500 horsepower engine is a 500 horsepower engine in a 2000 lb car or an 8000 lb truck. If you're talking about losses through the transmission then say it properly in english idiot because that's not what you're stating. Weight and drag also have nothing to do with one another but you state them as thought they are synonomous. Do yourself a favor and leave the physics to those with IQ's over 50.

s986, you need to tone it down big time.
honda-tech is not like other forums and we dont tolerate **** talking. we have to tolerate ignorance cause where there are people, theres ignorance, just live with it.
if you feel like educating people, do so in a respectful manner. if you cant deal with that, you're welcome to go somewhere else.
this goes for all the keyboard toting tough guys in this forum. the people that run honda-tech dont babysit the forums cause we have nothing better to do. make our jobs a little easier by acting like normal human beings, or you'll be dealt with accordingly.
Have a nice day.

"The story goes that Watt was working with ponies lifting coal at a coal mine, and he wanted a way to talk about the power available from one of these animals. He found that, on average, a mine pony could do 22,000 foot-pounds of work in a minute. He then increased that number by 50 percent and pegged the measurement of horsepower at 33,000 foot-pounds of work in one minute. It is that arbitrary unit of measure that has made its way down through the centuries and now appears on your car, your lawn mower, your chain saw and even in some cases your vacuum cleaner! "
Thank you for illustrating my point you mental midget. The term is FOOT-POUNDS (not meaningless). FOOT-POUNDS. Not HORSE FOOT-POUNDS. Just FOOT-POUNDS. Horsepower. FOOT-POUNDS. Two seperate and distinct terms not to be combined.
