I have a Del Sol and the Tein hood dampers that have been on it have died. The Tein hood dampers, when they worked, only opened the hood half way at roughly a 45 degree angle. I have been looking for a hood damper solution that will open the hood at a full 90 degrees or close to it. Any recommendations?

All the images I see of tien hood dampeners hold the hood near the 90 degree. You probably didn't install it properly or the kit was only made to hold it at a 45 degree...
