94 accord clutch issues
so i have a 94 accord and the clutch has no pressure also it wont come out of gear, slave and master are new and actually havent even been pressurized the car sat for a year before i got it can anyone assist?
after introducing air into the hydraulic system it needs to be bled and make sure that the fluids are all changed, if the cars been sitting for a year brake fluid that you use for your clutch is hygroscopic, also if you cant shift outta gear with the engine off clutch pressure is going to be the least of your worries...
It isn't coming out of fear after sitting for a year. It spent the whole year sitting in gear? Was there oil in the transmission while it was sitting? You could try replacing the oil. I don't know if that would help any. I don't know much about transmissions so just guessed. I'm more curious how you decided to buy a car that can't be driven, you're not sure what exactly is wrong or how to fix it.
if the trans wont shift out of gear with the engine off more than likely its stuck in 2 gears and the detent ball/***** that prevents this from happening decided to find a new home in your trans dont worry you still have options if your mechanically inclined or pay someone to do it
remove the trans open it up find the detent ball/***** it looks like a single ball bearing discard and replace youll have to move the shift arms back into neutral before replacing it since your already this deep in might as well get the rebuild kit for it and rebuild it there are videos on youtube that can help you
get another trans from a donor car/local junkyard/craigslist/LKQ/facebook groups, make sure it shifts into all the gears properly before buying it and slap it in hope for the best
since the trans is out id inspect the clutch assembly/flywheel/ for excessive wear and cracks ie damage.check the flywheel ring gear for damage have it machined back to spec or replace it. inspect the rear main seal if its leaking its easier to deal with it now since the trans is out of the way rather than having to take the trans back out, our trans is not like the civics they have some weight to them get a friend to help preferably one that can bench at least 200 or curl 180 it makes reinstalling and lining up the input shaft easier
