Manual or automatic transmission?

You need to lower the transmission to get the mount out. It's trapped between the transmission and body. You might be able to do it without jacking the car up but i've never tried. Just support the engine with a floor jack and 2x4 under the oil pan.

You might need to wedge a pry bar against the driver side mount and frame to move the engine towards the transmission so you can tighten the through bolt down onto the new tranny mount. The reason is to be careful not to strip the threads on the bolt.

Anywhere under the tranny will raise the tranny. Just be sure to have a wooden block of some sort in between. You do not want to crack the tranny. You will just slightly raise the tranny, remove the through bolt, then let it down to remove the mount.
