So I have a 97 SE Accord that I recently finished swapping a 5speed transmission into. I got the engine and trans back in and got a 5 speed starter but when I go to start the car, the fuse for starter signal wire blows. I've used four fuses now and they've all blown. I know the starter is fully functional because I gutted it and cleaned the interior connections then tested it before I put it in. The starter is grounded and getting full battery voltage at the terminal. The signal wire at the starter when disconnected does not have continuity to ground and none of the connections are lose. Anyone have ideas please???
