Just bought a Civic with a really sloppy D16Z6 swap, help with an unplugged harness
New user here. Ok, so I just bought a 93 civic lx a few weeks ago with a really badly done D16z6 swap. The previous owner stated that the cars fans dont run so he hot wired them to run by tapping the ignition wiring inside the car lol So I looked underneath the hood and it is just a mess. I noticed right away an unplugged harness and I would like to know what it is for? Thanks guys.

That looks like the A/C harness. You should be able to follow it to a big plug behind the right headlight or on the fender area, unplug it there and remove from the car until you are ready to put A/C back in.
Since these models have a side-by-side independent airflow of the radiator and condenser, the radiator fan is completely independent from the A/C system. The radiator fan is controlled by a thermal switch on the thermostat housing which grounds the coil of a relay in the underhood fuse box. When the relay closes, power is supplied to the fan from a fuse which is also in the underhood fuse box.
