I currently have a 92 Honda accord and I plan to swap out the engine with a JDM F20B Acura DOHC and I was wondering if this would fit physically and mechanically with my 5 spd transmission and engine bay, also what recommendations would you guys give on an ECU unit for the motor?

 

The F Series and H Series motors are basically the same size on the bottom end. You will have no issues fitting the new engine. You want to do some research on the mounts and drive shafts. With a 94 accord I was able to use all 4 stock mounts and Drive shafts. This may be the case for you as well. The F22 transmission should bolt up but remember that that transmission is geared for a lower revving engine and will significantly decrease acceleration.

Also when you get the engine, the f20b Auto has different cams than the manual. If you care about the HP in my opinion it would be much cheaper to get the Manual version than to try to change the cam's later.

 

The engine it's self states that it is for a manual transmission I was wrong on what engine I told you tho I was looking at multiple and I got them mixed up.
The engine is actually a JDM f20b for an accord SiR. Would this change anything.

 

Nope, changes nothing. Size wise they are all interchangeable. You will need to do some additional wiring going from F22A/b to a JDM F20b/h22/H23a but that's all thoroughly covered in many threads.


I was going to get a F20b myself but ended up with a good deal on the h23a.
