Default Head unit wiring issues with powering on at certain times

For a '96 Civic CX, with a Pioneer DEH-2200EB head unit. Tried searching for it but didn't yield any results since it seems to be a unique case with mine.

I've been having this intermittent issue with my head unit taking its time to power on. There are certain times when I start the car and the head unit immediately powers up, but there are other times when the head unit takes its time and doesn't power up until 5-10 minutes later. A couple of times, it didn't even power up until I got to my destination and shut the car off and then started the car again.

It's not a major issue of course, just a minor annoyance that I would eventually like to have it resolved.

Any ideas on what it would be? Thanks!

Test the ignition switch, the two radio fuses, and the radio ground wire.

Will definitely do that sometime this weekend. I noticed that its getting more frequent as the weather gets warmer so I'm sure that also is accelerating the symptom.

Try messing with the ignition key when it doesn't turn on. Play with it a little bit, forward, and back to see if that changes anything. The wiring is very weird in my 94 DX and it does this, I have to place the key EXACTLY right to get it to turn on and stay on.
