Accord CH9 Reverse lights baffled
Hi Guys
reverse lights/audible alarm hasnt been working for a while. (They did work when I had the car first) Trying to find out how the wiring has been done:
Its a manual conversion from an auto (2000 SIR station wagon) and all the info ive seen on how to wire the reverse switch says to wire the switch in the tranny to a connector in the console.
Mine seems to have been done differently. One terminal on the reverse switch is wired to ground (for some reason its loomed all the way into the dash and grounded to chassis there??)
The other terminal on the switch is spliced in with a pink wire from a harness local to the switch and then both connected to a thick black wire which runs to a 3 wire connector on the back of the T2w4 transmission.
This wire seems to have 10 ish volts present when the ignition is on.
Any ideas? Im unsure of what the plug in the back of the tranny (near the firewall) that the switch is currently wired to actually is?
cheers!
