I installed a Jdm Itr steering wheel, but the previous airbag bolts don't seem to be quite long enough. If I get some Usdm Itr airbag bolts, would they work?
Or anyone know where to get Jdm oem bolts? The bolts I was using were off a CDM Itr steering wheel I believe, but the wheel looks exactly like a gsr wheel. Maybe they're the same.

 

I just swapped back to my 01 CDM OEM wheel from JDM SRS wheel. I miss it already!

My JDM wheel was installed with regular 10mm bolts. I didn't have any bolts with the OEM wheel so just reused the 10mm. I am not sure the exact length but I would try a few different ones to see what works. It is a tight fit to get a socket in especially on the passenger side. I believe oem was torx head.

 

Yes the oem are the t30 torx. I even went to the Acura deal today and got 2 new oem screws to see if I was using the right ones. They were the same, and they seem a little too short, I can't get them into the threads. So I'm pretty certain that JDM oem bolts are a little different than usdm/cdm.

Anyway, I went to the hardware store and picked up several sizes of allen wrench/hex screws. They worked out, so the airbag is now bolted down! I'm going to make a install thread for this process, so I'll post some pics. Might be helpful in the future for others.

 

I think the USDM wheel bolts are goldish color, the ones on my JDM SRS R wheel are black, and a bit longer. I hate torx so I used 10mm bolts from a hardware store and the bag sits flush and is secured in the wheel.
