Clutch safety switch question
Yesterday my 1992 Honda Accord ex with manual transmission would not start. Long story short it turned out to be the clutch safety switch. Actually I think the switch is ok but the plastic grommet is gone. I was wondering if there was some trick getting a new one in. I see no way of doing it without taking the clutch housing off which I am trying to avoid doing. Of note, there is a another switch there(clutch position switch?) that the grommet is gone also( easy to get to). What does it do? It is disconnected but doesn't seem to have any effect on my car with it plugged in or not. Thanks in advance
unfortunately i went to the dealership and payed $ 13 bucks for 2 of the white pointed kind whereas i could have gotten 2 for $8. live and learn i guess. My problem is i dont know how to get to the spot. i can get to the backside of the hole where it fits but not the front side where it goes in. The arm of the pedal and the houseing of the clutch are in the way. Even thought about putting it in the wrong way(backside) but it would eventually just get pushed out
