Plan on putting a JDM 92-95 H22A Engine in a 2000 Civic EX Coupe.

The motor/harness/ecu/prelude the motor came from is OBD1, unsure of the exact year but being from 92-95...

The EK is OBD2b and I am buying it without an engine/transmission or harness.

This is my plan: Buy an OBD1 Civic EX Harness, modify it to fit the H22 and run the OBD1 JDM H22 ecu that comes with the swap.
This would mean I could have a OBD2b chassis running an OBD1 ecu and engine. Would this be the way to go? As far as differences between the harnesses, are the prelude and civic harnesses both 1 piece? Engine to ecu? My other question is on the ecu end of the harness, would the OBD1 Civic EX harness plug into my JDM OBD1 H22 ecu? Would I need an OBD1 to OBD2 conversion harness for any reason? Sorry im a little confused and searching has given me a headache. Any help is appreciated.

OR: Is it an option to just run the JDM Prelude H22A engine harness and ecu?

I have found that the 96-00 Civic engine harnesses are 1 piece, from sensors to ecu, so I know that but that is for OBD2, are the 92-95 OBD1 civic engine harnesses 1 piece as well? or are they 2 piece, stop at the shock tower type?

 

From looking at pictures of harnesses on ebay, it looks like 92-95 OBD1 civic harnesses are the two piece design.

SO, would the thing to do be run a OBD2 96-00 civic ex/si harness, modify it to fit the H22A and run an OBD2b to OBD1 conversion harness for the JDM OBD1 (P13) H22 ecu?
