Default 1998 Honda Civic ex coupe

Hi I'm new to this, I have a 1998 Honda Civic ex coupe with a d16y7. I wanna ask y'all which is better to keep the d16 or swap it for a b18.

I don't wanna go that far I wanna keep it between the d16 and the b18. If I put the b18 motor with the b18 headers can I put that exhaust with it.

What are your goals?

What's your budget?

What's the condition of the rest of your car, specifically the suspension?
