battery light above 2000 rpm
Was driving home last night and my battery light turned on and kept flickering. The more gas I gave, the brighter and more consistent the light. The higher the rpm the brighter and more consistent the light. Going uphill the light was solid. If I let off the gas and coast, or let the car idle, battery light would slowly fade and turn off. As soon as I got above 2000 rpm it would turn back on. Never heard of this issue and am having a hard time finding anything about it online. Usually it's the opposite where light runs at idle.

battery terminals are tight, connections are squeaky clean, battery cables are new, new gold plated terminal clamps, and ive already checked all the wires on the alternator and traced them back to the firewall for shorts and bad connections.
Issue turned out to be the alternator. I found some forums that had the same issue, but the alternator was over charging at 17-18 volts. I replaced the alternator and tested the old one, now I no longer have the battery light, and the old one was putting out 17.5. That would explain why the light only came on when my foot was on the gas
