98 Acura integra
I have a big stereo in my integra, I have a volt meter in there for the subwoofers, at low speeds it will sometimes charge and sometimes not. I know the stereo draws a lot. Put new alternator in. Does same thing. Checked all wires and fuses. Will drop from 14 to 12 randomly, will always charge going 65 on the highway. I have a big ground wire from alternator straight to ground. Belts are tight on alternator. What kind of issue is this? Could it be the eld with so much power that it's not regulating right?

 

If you have already replaced the alt. then that kind of only leaves the ELD. 94
