1996 CR-V Whirring Sound when Braking
Hey guys! Just noticed it today. When I brake from speeds of 40+ mph, I hear a whirring noise coming from direction of the front wheel. When I ease off the brake, it goes away, push on it, it comes back. No change in performance, no smells or anything either (that I could tell). The whirring sounds exactly like an ambulance siren coming down.
Car has 150,000 miles. Tires are Kumho, stock size, have maybe 5K miles on em. Visually, the brake pads are good, and the rotors are smooth. The only existing problems I know of is that it'll probably need wheel bearings soon due to all the road noise I have.
Any ideas what it could be?
