We are looking for a decent small AWD vehicle with automatic (which would replace our manual transmission Subaru).

My wife really likes the Element. I see there is a 2003 Element for sale at a dealer locally that looks like a good deal.

What should I look out for on the first year (2003) Element? I've seen some reference to ignition switch issues on that year.
