What kind of video setups do any of you have?
Do any of you have cameras mounted in your car to tape when you go to the track/autocross? Or just for when you goofing around on the weekends?
I just got a camera mount that attaches to my headrest in my car. I have tons of video stuff laying around my house so i went a little crazy zip-tiing stuff in there. So far I have a hi-8 next to my head, a portable DVD player on the dash to use as my video monitor, a boommic on the inside attached to the ceiling, and another mic mounted in the engine bay, that are both hooked up to a portable mixer. I got the hi-8 for $50 from this kid, so as soon as I get a suctioncup mount for the outside of the car thats where thats going, and my DVCAM is going on the inside.
Have any of you ever used a suction cup mount for holding a camera outside the car? I heard there is one made for motorcyles that has 3 cups in a triangular shape. Or do you have any other ideas for mounting the camera on the outside?
Most of you problably don't even see the point in hooking this stuff up, but we are just doing it for fun. I'll post pics of the setup soon, and then of course some videos we shoot. I'll defenitly post footage from this past sunday when I was taping from my roommates car. We raced a 944 (big deal), a modded Z28 (left it about 10-15 cars back), a Z4 (they look hella sweet) and a bunh of motor cycles (we couldn't ever line up even, but we defenitly got some cool wheelie shots). Just so you know, my roommate has a SP74 single turbo Supra.
One last thing... I haven't posted in forever... so "Hi"
