Default Body Kit Advice

I was thinking of buying a Black Widow 2 kit for my '02 accord coupe, along with some kitana T5's. Any advice for me? Thanks.

You are not going to get much love from them about kits. I think that would look alright, but I think the black widow kits are played out, everyone has one around here. Just my opinion. Do what you want

...body kits aren't always bad, but when it doesn't match the car they suck. This is usually the case with all kits. Stick with OEM, and put the rest of the money were no one can see it.

Forget the bodykit. Go for speed, per a board members sig, "speed never goes out of style"

Unless you have a built motor under the hood take "racer" out of your SN. Black widow isn't a horrible kit, but it is old. Personally, I'd get some go **cough*Comptech supercharger*cough** before messing with the exterior.

I'm not a big fan of anything "Black Widow" except for the female pool player. I personally think that body kit is too bulky/out of control.... period. I think you're better off w/a lip kit of some type. just my .02

My advice don't get one. Hit a name like Accord Racer and your sig I would actually think you were interested in going faster.

yes just like everyone says on this board, you're car cannot look good unless it's fast. and even then, if it doesn't look OEM or JDM, you will be called rice. it's a simple fact. if you don't sweat JDM and your car does not look JDM, more than likely people on here will not like your car. it will be called rice.

I say do what you like. if you want the BW 2 kit, then get the BW 2 kit, rock it and be happy. i mean who are you making your car for anyway? you or others?

anyways, whatever kit you choose to get, just make sure you get a quality piece. and take the time to make it fit right, don't just bolt it on and have it off center or lopsided. test fit it. prep it first. sand it for high and low spots, shoot some primer on it. test fit to make sure it fits just like you want. bolt it on, spray the paint, and be happy. it's all about what you want to do, remember that. it's cool to get others opinions, but in the end it's your decision.

good luck with whatever you end up doing. and be sure to post some pics when it's done.

yeah body kits are really uncool. who wants to make their car look good? why not spend loads of money for a piece that looks about the same as stock just so we can say it's JDM! i'd rather spend my money so that most people can see that i have modified my car. how many people do you know would be able to tell the difference in a stock piece or a JDM piece? they almost always look the same.

Yeah, it's true, but it is also really cool when you see someone that 'knows' what you have/notices what it is, and they can apreciate it.

i agree with 95 guess you havent raced a hybrid accord
Dont put the black widow kit on an accord. It's sooooo played out, not because it's not jdm or because it's just a body kit. Because 2/3 of all 98-02 accords have bw body kit, well here, that is. And whole point of a body kit is to be original and look good. JDM has kits for all you body kit haters at there, Cwest, mugen, ehhhh veilside. I dunno about veilside though.

yes the original BW kit is played out, it's on almost every 94-97 accord in my town (except mine, sportin the c-west) but he's talking about the new BW version 2. looks a little bit better than the original. i know the hood looks eleventy billion times better that's for sure
