Default n00b question...

I haven't had a good chance to look yet, but I need to adjust my fuel pressure regulator down a tad, it was reading 50 psi at idle this morning with the vaccum line on. Now I know to adjust the pressure correctly, the vaccum line needs to be disconnected. My question is, does the vaccum line just slide on and off of a barb? Or are there any clamps holding it in place? Also, factory settings should 38psi correct? Which means with my mods and v-afc tuning I could probably run it to about 40-42 psi without running too rich? Thanks guys.....

You've been here on record for 169 days... your pulling our leg right? I think I'm the newb.

It pulls right off, but be careful that you don't rip it... otherwise just cut it down and slip it back on after you've adjusted the pressure.

Well normally its just barbed, but if it also has a hose clamp, you better take it to a a shop!

Just because nate has been here 169 days doesn't mean he knows anything.

ah i'll try to help out the best i can

vacuum line slides on and off, there shouldnt be a clamp. if we're talking about the line that connects to the fpr of course.

Also, factory settings should 38psi correct? Which means with my mods and v-afc tuning I could probably run it to about 40-42 psi without running too rich?
ha, i had the damn same problem! i just asked and searched and it seems 38psi is correct, but i heard 42 was stock for itr ;p, and if you were running rich, you'll see signs of it, black smoke, CE light, worst yet, blown rattle the cattle catalytic converter.

PS. Not sure what mods your talking since you dont mention them, but with v-afc you better know what your doing
