ECHC Enduro?
Any interest?
Maybe points or non-points?
Maybe a 2 hour with one required driver change or something?
I need to find a way for Yack to drive -'his'- car before someone gets hurt!
(Kinda think he's Jonesin' bad and it's only November)
Ideas???????
I bet Phat-s is a 'go' on this one!

That will require fire equipment in the pits...

issue:
There is hardly enough time during a NASA weekend to have the normal stuff... a 2 hour enduro will not fit.

unless it is a night enduro...

Well, right now, it looks like the Tank will be in the 4 Hour enduro at VIR in Feb, with 4 drivers... Me, Alex, Warren, and a mystery rookie driver
Split the cost 4 ways, and it shouldn't be to bad, unless they stuff it in a tirewall...

Although the Ohio event looks sketchy for us NW guys this year, I bet there would be a couple of us who would offer to fly out and co-drive for a team or two.
Put me down for a H4 stint if you get it going.

Sound like a plan... even have a gas stop.

I think NASA-VA already recognizes all the ECHC classes for their enduros. But, you're out on the track with all the other cars and there's no 13/13 being backed up by Karl/Scott.
Please correct me if I wrong about that....

Yes, but remember that enduros are driven in a different "style" than sprints. they are usually driven less aggressively than sprints; the car must be conserved and in a 4 hour race it really doesn't matter if someone gets ahead a couple places during the start. It all evens out over the course of the 4 hour race. I have worked the EMRA 4 hour enduro the last 2 years and have had a great chance to observe this in action...
so I would have to say that the 13/13 is not as much a problem or neccessity as it is in the sprint races.

PS Corey, be careful to conserve your machine when you race the enduro. a 4 hour enduro where your car is driven HARD is more than a seasons worth of wear in 1 race. We don't want to see you miss any of the regular ECHC races!!!

A certain other ECHC driver and I have talked about entering the Feb. enduro in one of our cars, and attempting to lay waste in PS-1. Not sure either car will survive 4 hours consecutively though, since they're both pieces of chit.

I once crewed for 3 of them (at one time). Boy was that a lot of work. One had fuel problems, one had brake problems, and the other was just slow. Only one finished, but it won its class.
My car will be driven slow, by very good drivers, on a easy (braking/tranny wise) track.... not much damage would be done... If the enduro was done at CMP, I wouldn't consider it...
won't be in an Enduro. Sorry guys, but I need all the fundage I can get for the points weekends next year.Jason-
who finally, after a good while of planning/starving is moving into our new home in March
godammit..... I have enough trouble being crew chief for Corey and keeping up with him, now they throw 4 drivers in the mix and on top of that I might be the one man fuel stop for Payton again
Morgan - who will be at pit wall, hopefully with a communication radio, sitting in the shade, cooler at feet praying brakes and tires do not need to be changed
