Ok, So I bought this used Curt Roof basket & then went to put it on my 2003 CR-V & the there seems to be no way to line it up to actually use the clamps in the kit to hold it down?
Have you guys need to mod things some how?
I'm thinking gonna have to get creative?
If you look at the photo above you see the hole downs.
I'm currently running a Rhino Rack & the spacing is just off, so I took one of the cross bars off and was hoping a had a narrow insert or something & it does not, so if I can't an answer on-line, I'll likely try to see if maybe drilling a hole in the plastic cross bar would solve my issue, yet I worry if it would weaken its strength, but it's not like I plan to put that much weight in the basket anyways.

Completely remove the brackets from the basket. Place the basket on the rack and see where you need the cross braces to be. Can the cross braces be relocated to different mounting points on the roof? Are those OEM roof racks? It looks like there are other plastic cover pieces that can be popped off and you could relocate the cross bar to a different point?
Edit: Just searched an it looks like you have aftermarket cross bars. The OEM ones are lower to the roof and not as thick. Might need to go back to OEM. I'm sure you could trade someone. http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/images/CRV-Roof-Rack.jpg

Berz out.
Thanks , Unless there is someone in the Los Angeles area that wants to swap, I'm pretty much thinking its gonna go on the top of me Sammy?
I would call Honda and see if they will trade you for some OEM ones. Yours are probably an option that cost more so they might be willing to trade off one on the lot? I think it will look out of place on the Sammy.

You do come up with cool ideas & I thank you.
But.... well see?
Its almost too long to look right on the Sammy, Yet, I am MUCH MORE LIMITED in the Sammy on where I can carry things.
Its currently at the shop being worked on & so once I get it back & start test fitting is how I'll decide.
