What's up guys! My name is Keith, or smitkea, or smitty, or whatever you want to call me I guess.
Just recently got a 2006 F4i for what I consider cheap ($3000). Upgraded from a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster... just couldn't vibe with a cruiser.
(Related, if you know anyone looking for a british cruiser, hit me up lol)
Just moved to the Kokomo, IN area for now and already found a few buds to ride with, so I'm getting acclimated to the new bike pretty quickly.
I already got a few important mods out of the way...
- Came with a Yoshimura exhaust (saved me money!)
- Previous owner put some crappy Chinese front and rear turn signals on, with horrid wiring and even worse placement (didn't even use the factory mounting location for the fronts..) so I replaced the front turn signals with Hotbodies and ordered some mirrors with integrated turn signals, as well as a Custom Dynamics flasher relay
- Ordered a competition werkes fender eliminator which I have yet to install
- Installed an LED taillight with integrated turn signals and license plate light, and it looks amazing and high quality! I was surprised since I got it off Amazon..
- Black eBay windshield (knockoff... not a perfect fit but good enough, just have to eliminate the rattle it makes around 4k rpm)
- Kensun HID low and hi beam
- theTankSlapper.biz tank protector
- Brake and clutch levers
- RAM fork stem phone mount
- Ordered but haven't had the bawls to install Vortex frame sliders
What I'm looking for in the near future is to remove the ugly factory warning stickers on the chain guard and tank, install the fender eliminator, sand and repaint the scratched stator cover, and hopefully... Find someone who wants to swap my banana seat for their split seat!!
Any other suggestions to make this bike fully *mine*?
Here's a pic from my first mini-trip with it.. Rode to Wabash, IN, got lost, and decided to take a pic while I pulled up the GPS.
