my back left quarter panel is ouch.

going to get estimates today and tomarrow. hopefully its just damage that can be massaged out by the dent doctor.

ill try and post ugly pictures of it later.

I just wanted some sympathy.

yeah. girlfriend was driving. We're both fine.
The guy that hit us was 72. He got out of the car and was like "its ok i have all kinda insurance. BLAHBLAHBLAH i was talking on the phone." I said "thats nice" as i was dialing the number for the coppers all the while thining "thank god now i can get all my body work finished!"

 

HA HA, I;m just waiting to "barely" get hit enough so I can get a grip of insurance money, and replace my panels and paint it, then have lots of money left over!

 

At least your guy took responsibility for the hit. The low life fuckstick that hit me then tried to run, THEN lied to the cops and the insurance company means I'm further in the hole AND have pretty obvious damage to the front fender (other stuff is mostly door dings). I'll get mine painted and fixed at somepoint soon, but I'm not in a position to do that right now.

Anyways, sorry for the rant. Good to hear you guys aren't hurt or anything. Good luck on the insurance deal.

I think everyone has had dreams of getting hit so they could claim big and get a payout. The fact of the matter is, IT HURTS. It hurts in the mind to know that your car has been hit. Even after its fixed, in your mind, you know that your car has been damaged and you question the integrity of the vehicle in certain situations. I had a fairly large accident about 6 weeks after i bought my car and it ended up being $5200 to get it fixed. Everything is fine and I have been to several drag and auto-x events with no problems. But STILL i just wonder about my car.

$2000 for the first estimate. im taking it to several place tomarrow to have it looked at. also having a friend (dent doc) look at it to see if he could possibly take it out for a few hundred.

Ideally i would be able to have all the large WRECK induced damage and small dents taken out of the car. Then with the rest, however much that may be, i plan to replace the front and rear bumper and the left front quarter panel. Id also like to get the side trim removed. BTW, i plan to paint the car myself...

But it just all depends on how much the big repair is going to cost... Wish me luck.
