been rumored since 2011 (?) that a new s2000 was being born.



with the release of the new nsx you think its highly possible of a new s2000?

yesterday i was reading around while at work, and found an article about the new s2k. it seems its already decided because honda is aiming to announce it sometime next year; target being fiats 124 and mazdas mx-5 RF.




base model s2000 will be 185 hp and also a type R version with the new CTR engine setup, giving it a nice 306 bhp.

IMO i think honda should just release the new s2000 just as the... new s2000. like BAM here you go, miss us? no other models, no type R, no base model. just flat out heres a nice 295 hp redesigned s2000.


any thoughts\?


i myself am a bit excited. i was looking forward to the new CTR but then read it was a misconception and that the US will not be getting it. But after reading about the new s2000 i was relieved because id take a s2000 over a civic anyday, CTR or not.

If they do decide to design a new S2k. there is only one route to go that makes sense. essentially the same car they made before with a new body and more power lol.

 

Than.....it wouldn't be the same car....

 

If you think all the s2000 was, was body work with hp. Then you don't know much about the s2000
