i searched google and on here and browsed through pages of search results and did'nt find anything about side mirror movement not working right.
my car is a 2003 Accord LX coupe, and the passenger side mirror does'nt adjust or move properly, when i try to adjust it from side to side, it just moves to the right a little bit, then just starts stuttering or kind of going back and forth in one spot, like its stuck and won't move any further from that point ?, so i can't move it where it needs to be, which would be further out towards the right, so i can see the cars coming from behind the passenger side.
what usually is the cause of the side mirror movement / adjustment not working properly ?, something to do with the power mirror motor ? have to replace the motor or something ? or could it be the wiring or something like that ?
another question i had, is if it is the power mirror motor or wiring, could i use those parts from a driver side mirror to be able to work on a passenger side mirror ? because i still have my drivers side mirror which was broken from someone hitting it, just on the plastic part of the base that it mounts to, but the motor or wiring in it is still all good, so if i could use the parts from that one to use on my passenger mirror, that would be good to know.
any information or help would be appreciated, thanks

Sounds like a plastic part inside the mirror is broken or missing "gear teeth".
Really not sure if the "guts" from the left drivers will fit work in the right pass
Ine from a bone yard can't cost that much??

maybe i should take apart the one i have from the drivers side and look to see if the gear/teeth or whatever that part is that controls movement would fit in the passenger side one or not ?
i guess i would also need to take apart the passenger side mirror to see whats actually causing it to not have the whole full range of movement when trying to adjust it too?
its not anything super important, but it won't move the mirror out far enough to be able and see oncoming traffic coming from the back on the passenger side, and would be nice to have it work. instead i think all i can see in that mirror is the passenger door.
