New to me crv...strut questions
I just bought a 2003 CR-V EX AWD automatic, to conserve gas to and from work. I have to say, it will be hard not to modify it too much since I build 4x4s and hotrods for a hobby, LOL. I had no idea there were even lifts for these!
OK OK... Back to the subject.
I had to fix a few things, knock sensor, sway bar end links and cleaned up the headlights. I ordered geolanders in 215/70/r15 that will be here in a few days.
The question...Struts and tie-rod ends.
The V has 207k on the ODO. I figured I would replace tie-rod ends while I'm in there because I have a leaking strut. Easy Day.
Struts: What is the best way to go about this? I see springs for sale, struts for sale, complete assemblies for sale.... I won't be wheeling this thing at all. 95% of its work will be highway back and forth to work so I am not driving my 97 hot-rodded Dodge cummins 80 miles a day. At most it will see snow in the winter time, but then again...I have a 4x4 dodge cummins for when it gets nasty.
What should I do? I do not want to spend a ton of money on a commuter vehicle but also don't want to have to replace these again in the next few years. SO somewhere in the middle?
PLease help! I need to do this very soon so I can get an alignment done with the new tires.
Thanks!

I have the same crv, bought it lowered on Megan witch were to low. When I tried to lift it found the coil overs were pretty messed up. So I bought the Megan ez street 2s. Went in fine now I'm having tie rod issues (stock are apperntly to short, thought it was alined before I switched coils)
