Common problems with RSX-S
Hey HT. I've currently got an EM1, and i'm looking to sell it soon. The RSX-S, among many others, is a car I'm considering buying for my price range. I wanted to know if anyone can give me some common problems that they have, and what to look out for when buying one. I like them a lot, but all cars have their quirks. Any input is appreciated.
second gear grinds up high and 3rd gear pop outs were a problem years ago.
Also tail light gaskets going out and trunks filling with water surprises people.

If you back it into a tree at 80MPH you'll likely walk away too.... unless you're in the back seat, then RIP.

EVAP issues if from the rust belt, driver side seat leather literally tearing at the seams, weird electric/whining noises (alternator noise, allegedly alleviated with ground loop suppressing or improving radio grounds), the rear suspension is kind of weird, door lock actuator failures (easy fix, remove and replace)...
The EM1 and the RSX would be similar in terms of reliability... only diff. would be the obvious increase in weight and slightly less attractive aftermarket parts availability... IMO at least.
