I have a em1 with a b16a2 motor with over 200k on it already. I think the engine is about to go "kaput" due it being so old and worn out. Now i'm thinking about rebuilding myself another bone stock b16a2 ,but i have no clue where to start. I was hoping any members in here who had ever had experiences building a b16a2 from scratch would let me in on how to build one. Thanks!
You take the engine apart, have machine work done, re-assemble with new parts.
The current engine has major problems. I don't wanna deal with it anymore. All i wanna do now is start building another b16a2 on the side while letting the old one sits in the em1 until it's ready to be swapped out. Now tell me where should i start.
with another motor that does not have a 77mm stroke...
what are you looking to do with this new motor? boost? n/a? just a fresh stockish motor? set your end goals and work backwards. you dont really just go at it like "tell me where to start"

Just a stockish N/A motor. Of course i'm gonna recycle some of the parts from the old motor such as sensors, manifold, spark wires, etc..., and so on that is still salvageable and re-use it on the new motor. Everything else located inside the block itself is considered to be non salvageable and won't be re-use in the rebuilt.
^^^ OP, search about the b20 vtecs or the LS vtecs setups. Cost should be about the same but with a bunch more power.^^^
Many parts can be reused as well..
