Hello to all who take time to read this thread. I recently purchased myself an 89 civic dx. I didn't buy it to do an engine swap or amp it up to make lots of noise. I do a lot of back and forth driving for my work and need something efficient. We all know driving a fullsized chevy don't exactly cut it for efficancy. The civic was in my budget but, unfortunately it don't run very well. Judging by the overall appearance and condition of the car it was well taken care of. STILL HAS THE FACTORY AM/FM/ CASSETTE!!! I picked it up because what ever issue it has is something simple to fix, it's just a matter of going through the steps to find it. With the little mechanical skill I have, I believe I am on the right track of having air/fuel or ignition issues. If its an electric gizmo (and a few have been replaced already in attempt to fix) or timing (haven't got that far yet) is still to be determined. Anyway I am mainly here for some fix-it tech advise. I feel my hello has been long enough and if anyone out there is willing to pass on some knowledge I will give details of what my ride is doing and what has been tried thus far tried.
