97 acura EL climate control on 96-98 civic?
you can chaneg the bulbs but i dont want to solder the buttons, which from my understanding have built in green LEDs. If you want to change the buttoms(ie. the button where you can choose which way to direct airflow, head or feet) they need to be soldered. Plus the EL climate control has a clock.
w0w i wanna do that to mine.... looks like cable controlled, not digital in 99-00...... errr damn i need to source out these parts now..
Hmmm......I dont know about the climate control since i now have gagues were my ac stuff used to be.........but i am feeling that steering wheel though......any body know where i can get one??

you DONT have to solder anything. i put ambers in my stock ac buttons. they are the same twist out holders like the gauge cluster. you just have to take out the whole thing to do it. takes a while but worth it

I've been looking for an E.L climate control but cant find it, I guess its rare CDM(canadian domestic market)
its 2 bulbs for the climate controls (well really amber covers) and 1 for the defroster switch. REALLY simple to do, mine are like that
the thing i am looking for is, how to put the WHOLE center console on an EL to a Civic if possible.

the climate control/gauge cluster from any pre 99 1.6EL will fit on any 96-98 civic, straight bolt in... it does indeed light up amber and it is cable controlled... i've been trying to find the parts to do this to my civic, but its hard to find the parts up here... and I'm in Canada, where we have lots of EL's, so its probably harder to get the parts down there...
BTW, the gauge cluster from the EL's are kinda cool too, white needles, but red/deep amber numbering in the day, and amber at night...
