Honda Accord 2001 LX p1381 tricking limp mode
Tricking limp mode p1381 cylinder position sensor ..... what I did ... cleared codes with battery cables .... set idle screw to one and a half turns open ... set idle cable Wheels manually to95 RPMs now no limp mode no code and no intermittent idle bump down... idle bump down was happening as well... I ruled out alternator before all this..... Does this make any sense...?
Edit now limp mode 1000 rpms to 2000 RPM's real quick I can live with that because limp mode and 3000 RPMs is gone and check light is gone... I want to get this thing down to Bare Bones without much trouble I do not mind putting toggle switches in my dash any ideas please
-you don't know what limp mode is. what you are experiencing is not limp mode. it's called a bouncy idle.
-p1381 is INTERMITTENT failure of the cyp sensor. the code WILL come back. replace the distributor
-stop making MORE problems, and just replace the distributor. everything you are doing is only causing more problems
-do not hardwire the fan
-replace the distributor
-find the vacuum lean and fix it. your idle issue is because you have a VACUUM LEAK
-replace the distributor
-there are no "idle cables". whatever cables you adjusted, I'm guessing you adjusted those wrong incorrectly too
