Default b20 vtec in em1 cold start issues

i have a 2000 em1 with a b20 vtec setup. when i throw in the stock b16 computer for the car it starts fine every time idling at about 1500rpms until warm then drops down to lower idle around 600 rpms . when i installed a socketed p28 with a chip from phearable it takes forever to get it started and will cut out until it warms up when you try to drive it > Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be happening? i am stumped.

Bad ecu? Bad conversion harness?

What is the code on the b16 ecu?

i have tried 3 different socketed ecus i have also tried 3 different jumpers harnesses.they all respond the same. cold start sucks you have to keep cranking the motor and it will eventually start. once its warmed up it runs great but before then shitty starting and if you try to drive it right away it dies
and cuts out completely until you cycle the key. i get no codes at all and when i run a stock 2000 civic si ecu it starts right up no issues and runs decent for throwing a lean code with this setup.

3 socket ecu's with the same chip correct?

edit: you still didn't answer my question on the stock b16 ecu.

stock obd2 b16 injectors and manifold. like i said the issues is cold starts. once it warms up it seems to run really good. and stock computer there is no issues as far as start up it only when any jumper harness and p 28 is used withe either phearable chips.

I'm gonna have to say thats questionable, if the obd2b p2t is starting the car but giving a lean code, and your chipped ecu's are having a hard time starting the car than the culprit is something to do with your fueling.

Did you clean the IACV, and also adjust the idle speed with the B16 ECU installed?

So, why not run the B16 ECU?

Because when you run the b16 ecu you can feel the power drop off and lean out coming through the 4k range.

Phearable said to unplug the egr solenoid and charcoal canister. And when that didnt work they sent me a new basemap with a different basecode. The starting issues werent as bad with the first basemap but the issues were still present

Does the chip allow you to see and retrieve trouble codes?

Everything points to the chipped ecu with an unknown basemap. If its starting with an obd2b p2t, and you already tried "multiple chipped ecu's with the same chip", than its the basemap.

Eith the the first chip there hasnt been a light on at all except when you initially turn the key. The second chip hasnt either but when you press the throttle the check engine light comes on and as soon as you release it it goes off
