Default Cheap inner tie rods - Opinions

Normally I am against cheap suspension parts, but these came pre-installed on a rebuilt steering rack from Detroit Axle. The rack was used for about one year and is sitting on my bench now. the inner tie rods feel tight and *appear* to have full-metal ball studs.

The driver's side tie rod is a royal PITA to replace with the rack installed (I know because I've tried). Local parts houses only carry the cheap tie rod ends so I would have to order Moogs (or Beck/Arnleys) online, which means the car is out of service for a week.

Any experience (good or bad) with cheap tie rods?

The more I think about it, the more I want to just get the Moogs and not worry
