Anyone run the Tein Street Advance?
The spring rate seems about where I want it. The car is a daily driver and I enjoy hitting the back roads often. I'm just curious of opinions on these for an aggressive daily driver. If I went with them I was going to pair them up with a nice rear sway bar.

What type of car?
I have them on 2 daily driven cars. One of them is my daily 06 TSX MT. It has had them on there for over 50K miles and they're still in great shape.
My summer tires are Michelin Pilot SS and I have a TL-S 22MM rear bar. The car handles well and it rides slightly more firm than stock...but still quite a bit better than stock. The body control is good. But SA's ars budget, comfort minded coilovers. So there's not much low speed damping to control the body as well as something from Bilstein or KW does.
They control the body better than stock...but make no mistake that they are VERY soft. I would not say they are agressive at all.

I have ITR suspension now but have the old original LCAs so I can do either. Would you suggest rather a set of Bilstein B8s with some Ground Control springs/sleeves? I would probably go with around 450/400 spring rate ideally. If not that then 400/350.

B8's are nice shocks. But those spring rates may or may not work. Closer to 300LB for the rear is better. But...who knows...they may be able to handle a little more. You can always have them re-valved.
Have you looked at Tein Street Flex? Those are more agressive than the SA...but are still very comfortable on the street. My friend has them on his EM1. IIRC, they are like a 500/400 setup.

FWIW, I have 440LB rear springs on my ITR (Koni Yellow OTS)...and I would NOT recommend it for a DD lol.

They're about $900 and change, shipped (in the continental US) from Thmotorsports. Thats similar to the price of bilstein B8 and GC or Koni/GC.
Have you looked at anything from KW? Their ST line is more agressively damped than Tein SA/SB setups. But its zinc plated..so you may need to clear coat it for use on salted roads.

Edit: Not looking to spend over $1000

The teins are under $1000 (I'm assuming you're in the US).
KW is a german brand. Look at ST coilovers. They are made by KW. They should be $700ish-800ish. Great setup...agressive, but smooth damping. Very soft spring rates, though.

How can they be aggressive yet very soft spring rates? Whats the crash course there?
I keep going back to the Teins because I like what I read on their site and I know they are a good brand. I have never heard of the others. (not to say they aren't good)
I just want great handling with the best ride quality. BTW this car will not be mad dropped or "stanced". It will probably be lowered to about 1-2 fingers wheel gap.

I love my street advances. They're soft. Thats not a bad thing. But they are soft AF for sure. I run mine close to full stiff and anything under -8 clicks feels like a cadillac floating on the road.
ST's on the same car were much more controlled...but a little less comfortable over sharp bumps.
You can't beat Tein for value and quality for money, though. I've heard of people using them for 100k miles without a rebuild. And I've never had any issues over lots of miles and years on a few different cars.
The only thing I was cautioning you about was the softness of the SA's. And I was only doing that because you said the word "agressive". The street flex offers more of a sporty bias without much added harshness.

How soft are the street advances vs stock ITR setup? I like the ride of ITR setup but with the stock 98 RS sway bar it has too much roll for me. Also it sits too high. I'd like the ability to adjust my height.

They'll probably be more comfortable than the stock ITR setup...and likely feel more firm but less crashy.
Good spring rates. Seems like a very good street based system. Go for it man.

What about the Progress Series III? That is in my budget and I've heard a good bit about them.
Also what do you mean by "crashy"? lol you lost me on that one.

I don't know about the progress. Never used them.
I know that Tein makes a very good product. The construction and components of the street advance are great. Super super heavy duty powder coat. Seperate (but locked) thread sleeve with self lubricating coating. Delrin thrust washers for the springs. Aluminum (not plastic) upper mount/spring locating plates. Damper force adjustment. Etc.

Here's a brand new set that I was getting ready to install on someone's car. I like the full length, flexible dust boots a lot.

Here's mine after ~55k miles, 3 chicagoland winters, trips to NYC, and Canada, and general urban/suburban/rural driving use. No leaks. Dust boots are in like-new condition. Virtually no corrosion.
