Car won't go in gear!!
I've got a 99 civic with Gsr swap it was always a bit hard to shift into gear so I had a type r transmission at home that I knew was good so put that on with new clutch flywheel throw out bearing and pressure plate drove the car for a week everything was perfect and then it started being hard goin into gear again (with the type r tranny this time) about 5 minutes later I couldn't get it into any gear at all and the pedal stuck to the ground clutch fluid was about half way down so I though maybe it was something in the hydraulics I replaced slave cylinder and master cylinder and the line bleed it again and still nothing. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be I really need my car running again. Thanks!
Changed the whole hydraulic system the other day and I have all new clutch assembly my transmission is good I have almost new solid motor mounts only thing I didn't change was shift linkage I'm just waiting on it coming In
Won't go into any gear when the car is on but it will when it's shut off , I've tried adjusting the master cylinder but didn't seem to make a difference and no it has lots of pressure now with the new hydraulic system ,with the old master cylinder the pedal did stay on the floor.
Follow the Helms manual for pedal adjustment as Black R suggested. If that doesn't fix it then you have a problem with the transmission. Problems like this generally aren't caused by the linkage, but it is quick to check.
Alright I'll try adjusting it again but I know for sure its not my transmission because I drove in the car that it came out of , it even done this with my Gsr transmission and I thought it was bad but I took it apart and it was fine. I know my clutch isn't disengaging because if I put it in gear while it's on and turn it on the car lurches forward
