oil light on
over winter i have been having problems with my 93 accord. it's a f22a1 engine. first the battery went bad and then the alternator. after i fixed both i found coolant (white foam) in the head when i changed the oil. the oil lamp would stay on as the car came into operating temps. i thought maybe this was due to coolant in the head because i've never had this before. i recently replaced my head gasket and now everything is fine (no leaks) except for the oil lamp still comes on after engine is warm. could it be a bad/clogged oil pressure switch from the coolant? i have to retime my balance shaft so I will be taking that apart. any other suggestions? I plan on replacing the oil pressure switch anyways because it's a cheap enough to give it a try.
even when there was coolant leaking in the head, the car ran strong and fine. i don't feel any loss in performance except the oil light is on. doesn't matter what rpm, once it comes to temp, it stays on. engine has 258k and i don't know if oil pump has every been replaced. pistons and head look rather clean (cleaner than my GSR head) for what it is.

I bought my 91 it had some issues,it had a blinking Oil light after getting warmed up. I changed the Oil pressure switch above Oil filter problem solved less than 10 bucks wish the rest was that cheap .
went to autozone and yes it was like $12. I tried to take off the rubber boot but that thing was stuck in there pretty good. it was rather windy and i didn't have a big enough socket on hand so perhaps I'll finish it tomorrow. timing is now spot on and car runs great. hoping this switch does the trick. found that my ex manifold is cracked. just my luck with this car.
