Recommendations for shocks on my Del Sol
Need some recommendations for shocks on my Del Sol.
Not looking for race performance as i am daily comfort performance.
Smoother the car rides the better. Currently on stock
springs and suspension. Planning on swapping out
control arms and springs a little down the road as well.
Anything to help absorb the road. I can't lower the car as I
often put way to much weight in the car with tools and parts.
Thanks for the opinions guys!

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
Bilstein HD shocks are likely your best bet. Cost effective and they work well with stock springs. Should be about $450-500.
If you can handle a 1" drop, Tein street basis coilovers are about the same price. The spring rates are a bit higher than stock..so adding extra weight shouldn't be an issue.
Either choice will ride as good...or better than stock.

if all you're after is oem ride height and a smoother ride, start replacing bushings, etc. monroe sells a product called "quick strut", which comes with a new strut, tophat, bump stop, and spring already installed. just start replacing worn parts.
