Default Warpage of vband flanges.

hey guys.
do you clamp your vbands to fixtures while welding vband flanges or just let it sit on a aluminum block while welding?

thanks!

Just placing it on aluminum is a sure way to warp it. It really needs to be clamped down. I have fixtures made on the lathe for each size so I can back purge it and clamp it tight while welding
