Heater/coolant valve worn out?
My climate control lever broke and I have to get under my glove box to turn the heat on and off. I turned the valve all the way to cold, but it still blows warm/hot air after the engine warms up, even when it is really cold outside. I can't find the heater/coolant valve in the parts diagram. Anyone have any writeups on the heater system? Or know what part # it is?
My guess is the valve is worn and allowing hot coolant into the heater core.
Thanks!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. #3 in the breakdown

Yea its a small black valve close to the fire wall with a cable attached that leads to the climate control switch inside the cabin. Just move the valve open manually its easy.
Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up going under my dash and opening and closing it a few times and it sealed up. No more heat on 80 deg days
