I had the check engine light which turned out to be the EGR. I opened the plenum and clean it but the light now comes on again and it says insufficient EGR valve lift. What is the fix for this??? Will

 

Is the trouble code P0401 (EGR low flow code)? It isn't clear from your message but is this a 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder? The 6 cylinder is more likely to need cleaning than the 4 cylinder. Cleaning the EGR is somewhat of a misnomer because usually the trouble is the small passages going from the EGR into the intake manifold. There are several good videos of cleaning these EGR passages on YouTube including those from Eric The Car Guy and Scotty Kilmer. Exactly how to do it on your exact model and engine type may or may not be available but you will be able to get the idea.
