Did anyone go look at the 00 PY for sale in Cincinnati Ohio
hi guys .. been quite a few years since i posted here. i have been out of the scene for at least 8 years but, i am buying a 2000 PY type R that was posted here a few months ago and during the discussion i had with the seller he said someone flew from New York to buy the car then backed out and flew home without buying it i would like to talk to that person and get a honest review of the condition of the car and why they did not buy it.. i am not afraid of work to restore it but any info is better then nothing before i fly from california to ohio to drive it home
here is the post from when he had it for sale here

i do have the VIN if anyone has carfax.. or can figure out what the badge # is

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
I would go there with the expectation to see a very rough-condition car, with electrical issues and mechanical issues.
Not to take away anything from the car/OP/sale. But from all the cars I've seen, and from overall experience with types of sellers...just know that you're likely getting into a project.
If your expectations are realistic and the price matches your expectations...then you'll be fine.
I think the guy from NY was probably expecting a very clean car with "no issues bro".

Are ITRs getting that difficult to find that you have to fly all the way to OH from Cali? Or does this one just hit your budget properly?
the price is in my opinion a little high for this car so i am being a little cautious about it . i have never been afraid to travel to buy something as long as the total price to get it home makes sense i bought my boat in brand new in atlanta for 20K cheaper then i could buy it for in california 2 months ago brought a R back from dallas for a friend and 2 weeks ago another R from vegas a friend of mine brought one back from virginia 2 years ago ..

i am expecting a project but i guess my main worry is that maybe the person who went there to look at it saw the frame rail bent or poor bodywork.. but for someone to fly there and not buy it really makes me wonder
I see ITRs like this somewhat often. Why not wait for one to appear closer? Plus, this one looks to have been driven year round, and in Ohio that means it's seen salt/snow.
$12K seems a bit high for it considering condition and mileage, IMO.
